COMING
JULY 2026
The Newsletter Experiment
Beginning this July, I'm launching a newsletter.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know. The world desperately needed another email showing up in your inbox. Just what everybody wants, right? More digital clutter wedged between credit card offers and that Nigerian prince who's still trying to wire you $12 million.
But hear me out.
How often do you get to read the completely unfiltered ramblings of a retired American trying to make sense of life in Japan? Exactly. Practically a public service.
The truth is, I've been kicking around the idea of writing a book someday, so consider this my training camp. If Hemingway had to start somewhere, I figure I can too. Granted, my report cards in Phonics and College English weren't exactly setting the literary world on fire. Nobody was confusing me with Ralph Waldo Emerson. But I'm older now, slightly wiser, and have access to spell-check.
The newsletter will be a little different from my YouTube channel and social media. More stories, more observations, more opinions, and probably a few things that are too weird, too long, or too "Did he really just say that?" for video.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'd appreciate your subscription. I promise not to flood your inbox. Just one newsletter a month—the electronic equivalent of me pulling up a chair, pouring a cup of coffee, and sharing what's been rattling around in my head.
As always, thank you for your support, your encouragement, and for following along on this adventure.
I appreciate it more than you know.
